The Walt Disney Company, otherwise known as Disney, was originally founded by brothers Walt and Roy Disney in 1923. Originally going under the name "Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio", the company quickly solidified its reputation as one of the leaders in the animation industry before they spread their wings and dove into live-action film production, as well as going on to produce television shows.

Over the years Disney has acquired a variety of well-known film studios, such as Pixar, Marvel Studios, and as of recent Lucasfilm for its highly coveted Star Wars series. Because of this, we're willing to bet that some of your favorite movies have been produced by Disney in some way, without you even knowing it.

Early on in its inception, they created their first silent short film called Alice's Wonderland, which was eventually adapter into the famous Alice In Wonderland movie that we all know and love. Today, Disney has produced hundreds of movies adored by children and adults alike, such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Aladdin, and one of our personal favorites The Lion King.
